SUMMARY:Biotherapeutics and Vaccines Development Gordon Research Conference Patient-Centric\, Modality-Independent\, Data-Driven Biotherapeutic and Vaccine Developmen
DESCRIPTION:Biotherapeutics\, including protein and nucleic acid-based therapeutics\, cell and gene therapies\, and vaccines\, play an important role in maintaining and improving global public health which is particularly critical in the face of public health crises such as the COVID-19 pandemic. They are also being developed to treat a wide variety of serious medical conditions including infectious diseases\, cancer\, auto-immune\, cardio-vascular\, gastro-intestinal and neurological disorders. The development of biotherapeutics and vaccines\, from candidate engineering and selection\, through expression\, purification\, formulation\, analytical characterization and finally delivery to patients\, is a highly inter-disciplinary scientific field.

SUMMARY:The 5th International Conference on Retinoids
DESCRIPTION:This is the only international conference that focuses on Vitamin A. In a spirit of cross-disciplinary education\, this meeting provides a “home base” for diverse scientists to review the latest concepts and information about retinoid biology and to assess new developments. \nThis virtual conference brings together researchers who study retinoids to address the broad spectrum of retinoid actions and application in a comprehensive and integrative manner. This SRC benefits new investigators through mentoring opportunities and career development sessions and provides an excellent venue for established investigators less familiar with the field\, allowing them to gain a better perspective on the increasingly complex biology of retinoids.

SUMMARY:Gene-Targeted Therapies: Early Diagnosis and Equitable Delivery
DESCRIPTION:Currently\, technological developments are offering the hope of new therapies for individuals with rare disease at a pace that has the potential for significantly challenging the existing infrastructure for efficient\, effective\, and equitable delivery. It is important therefore\, to plan and be prepared for these challenges. Changes need to be implemented to improve the process of getting more treatments to more patients\, more quickly. \nJune 10th will focus on identifying existing systems that can be leveraged or adapted to bring treatments to the individuals who can benefit from them.
