SUMMARY:CSHL: Biology of Genomes
DESCRIPTION:The 2020 meeting will address DNA sequence variation and its role in molecular evolution\, population genetics and complex diseases\, comparative genomics\, large-scale studies of gene and protein expression\, and genomic approaches to ecological systems. Both technologies and applications will be emphasized. There will be a special session on the ethical\, legal and social implications (ELSI) of genome research.

SUMMARY:The 14th International Adenovirus Meeting
DESCRIPTION:Adenoviruses are associated with gastroenteritis\, conjunctivitis\, respiratory and urinary tract infections which in general have low clinical relevance. However\, they can cause severe pathologies\, even life-threatening\, in immunosuppressed individuals. There is no efficient treatment for adenovirus infections approved so far.\nAdenoviruses can also produce serious disease in poultry and other domestic animals\, resulting in economic losses. Remarkably\, adenoviruses are also the most widely used vectors in the clinical gene therapy field. \nOrganizer:  David Curiel\, MD\, PhD
