Arthur Derse

Arthur Derse, MD, JD, FACEP is the Director of the Center for Bioethics and Medical Humanities and a Professor of Bioethics and Emergency Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He is part of the SCGE TCDC (Translational Coordination and Dissemination Center), where he provides insight on ELSI (ethical, legal, social implications) issues.

In this interview, Dr. Derse discusses various ethical issues in somatic cell genome editing in humans, with a focus on risk-benefit analysis, informed consent, and access to therapies.
