Zheng-Yi Chen

Zheng-Yi Chen, D.Phil, is an Associate Professor of Otolaryngology at Harvard Medical School and an Associate Scientist and Ines and Fredrick Yeatts Chair in Otolaryngology at Mass Eye and Ear. He is leading the SCGE Phase 2 U01 project titled “AAV-mediated editing to treat human autosomal dominant hearing loss DFNA41 and DFNA2“.

In this interview, Dr. Chen discusses his research focused on treating genetic deafness, and his hope for improved delivery approaches and streamlined regulatory processes to accelerate therapies to clinical trials and the clinic.
