The American Society of Gene & Cell Therapy (ASGCT) is the primary membership organization for scientists, physicians, professionals, and patient advocates involved in gene and cell therapy.

Targeted genome editing technologies are being leveraged across many sectors including in the development of novel therapeutics.

The 2019 meeting will address DNA sequence variation and its role in molecular evolution, population genetics and complex diseases, comparative genomics, large-scale studies of gene and protein expression, and genomic approaches to ecological systems. Both technologies and applications will be emphasized. In addition there will be a special session on the ethical, legal and social implications (ELSI) of genome research.

Genome engineering has hit the streets. The plethora of new editing tools is propelling the field into the next genomic revolution. What are the new technologies? What will we make with them? How are the innovations impacting society and our individual lives? The Genome Writers Guild's annual conference highlights the fast pace of genomic engineering. Topics at the conference focus on recent research, tangible skills for the laboratory, and the challenges of social responsibility we all share.

The Symposium will include nine oral sessions and two poster sessions providing a current synthesis of the enormous progress in our understanding of the way RNA controls and regulates processes in the cell and organism, and how these mechanisms when aberrant may contribute to the progression of disease.

Since its inception in 2008, the annual CRISPR meeting has provided an international forum for scientists interested in all aspects of CRISPR-Cas systems, ranging from fundamental biology to biotechnological development, genome editing, and beyond. The primary goal of this meeting is to present state of the art novel research and global trends in CRISPR biology. CRISPR 2019 will continue the tradition of this unique scientific gathering, and will cover all aspects of CRISPR biology ranging from adaptation to interference, anti-CRISPR mechanisms, microbial tracking, and genome editing.

This event highlights advances in current and emerging “hot” targets and technologies, as well as target validation strategies for the discovery and development of novel therapeutic agents, ranging from biologics to small molecules.

This symposium will particularly focus on translation medicine, and will be featuring speakers talking about gene editing, including those from Editas, Crispr Tx, Intellia and researchers from universities.

The main purpose of the International Mammalian Genome Society is to promote and stimulate research in mammalian genetics from sequencing to functional genomics, mutagenesis and mutant analysis, and to represent the concerns of its members in their professional activities. The company's activities have grown with the growing awareness of the important and unique role of rodent species in biomedical research and current genetics.

Conversations on Science, Society & the Future of Gene Editing CRISPRcon creates a unique forum in which a broad selection of diverse voices come together to discuss the future of CRISPR and related gene editing technologies across a variety of applications in agriculture, health, conservation and more.

The specific goal for this meeting is to foster fruitful and creative interactions between researchers interested in applying these systems to genome engineering and related advances in a wide variety of organisms, together with scientists studying the basic biology of CRISPR-Cas and related bacterial defense systems.
