The International Mammalian Genome Society exists primarily to foster and stimulate research in mammalian genetics from sequencing and functional genomics to mutagenesis and mutant analysis, and to represent the concerns of its members in their professional activities. The activities of the society have expanded with the growing realization of the important and unique role of rodent species in current biomedical and genetic research.

The 2020 meeting will address DNA sequence variation and its role in molecular evolution, population genetics and complex diseases, comparative genomics, large-scale studies of gene and protein expression, and genomic approaches to ecological systems. Both technologies and applications will be emphasized. There will be a special session on the ethical, legal and social implications (ELSI) of genome research.

The fourth meeting on Regulatory & Non-Coding RNAs is going fully virtual and will now likely commence with a 10am morning session (US Eastern Time) on Tuesday, May 12 and the meeting will end with an afternoon session (Eastern Time)on Friday, May 15.

Adenoviruses are associated with gastroenteritis, conjunctivitis, respiratory and urinary tract infections which in general have low clinical relevance. Adenoviruses can also produce serious disease in poultry and other domestic animals, resulting in economic losses.
